I have to admit we cheated a little bit. My Valentine’s Day was last weekend and we celebrated in style by getting the Eurostar to Paris. I like to think that having Valentines last weekend meant we avoided being a complete cliché… (you may disagree). Really it was because the Eurostar had a sale on and travelling to Paris isn’t cheap on actual Valentine’s Day y’know!
These are a few random shots from the weekend. We managed to avoid that rain bugging the South of England and strolled around Parisian streets in the sunny (albeit cold) weather. We kept away from museums and generally just pottered about. Then we hired bikes and we braved the Arc de Triomphe on them; so much concentration on my face when cars whizzed past. We ate chocolates, drank cocktails and basically had a great Valentine’s Weekend.

Happy Valentine’s Day – Hope you have a great one whatever you’re up to!

  1. Sounds like you had a lovely time 🙂 Though that wall statue thing is a little creepy, wouldn’t like to bump into it on a dark night! x

    1. It was a lovely weekend. Agree with you about the statue though, would definitely scare you if you came across it in the dark! x

  2. Glad you had a great time! It does sound and look lovely. I really want to go to Paris. But it’s possibly a little too romantic for a singleton.

    1. You can still have a great time as a singleton in Paris! Most of the times I’ve been have been as a singleton. x

  3. I can’t stop looking at that statue with the man in the wall – it’s freaky but intriguing all the same! I love pieces of public art that makes me think!
