On our recent trip to China my boyfriend, Thom, treated himself and bought a drone which we’re now both in love with. He created this video with the drone footage we got on our adventures through the regions of Guangxi, Guangdong and Hong Kong.
Can’t wait to get some more shots with it!

That video is really amazing! Your boyfriend must be talented.
Now I want a drone even more!
He’s pretty great at putting together videos! A big help 🙂
This is great! I’ve been wanting a drone, but I was worried about traveling with it in addition to all my other camera gear. How did you find traveling with it?
Hey Tracie,
It is pretty bulky to carry around, you need to make sure you have a spare hand! In terms of other camera equipment we just use a DSLR and a couple of lenses so perhaps our camera gear is quite light compared to others’?
The drone comes in a big carry box to keep it safe which fits in all the blades and batteries but you do need to travel with it in hand luggage so depends on yor hand luggage allowances! We’ve not travelled with it much so far as we only just bought it in China!
