1. An early morning hike or sunset walk to Arthur’s Seat

If you’re an adventurous couple who loves hiking, then you should definitely make your way up to Arthur’s Seat, the highest point in Edinburgh.
This extinct volcano is located in Holyrood Park and offers breathtaking views of the city and is a great place to visit early in the morning or during sunset, as the colours of the sky reflect beautifully over the city.
The walk up to the summit is not too strenuous, and along the way, you’ll get to see some of the city’s famous landmarks, including Holyrood House, the Scottish Parliament, and Edinburgh Castle. You can also take a short detour to Salisbury Crag, which runs alongside Arthur’s Seat.
You should allow for 1-2 hours for the walk up Arthur’s Seat and the views are well worth the effort.
Pack a flask of tea and something to snack on and enjoy the views together.
