Johnson Lake is tucked away in the rural area of Barriere and near Kamloops and Sun Peaks, BC and it’s a popular thing to do if you’re in Kamloops or nearby. As with many BC lakes like Lillooet Lake, Kentucky Alleyne, or Jones Lake, Johnson Lake in BC is home to crystal clear waters (so…
Jones Lake near Chilliwack BC is one of the best places for free Chilliwack camping and one of the prettiest lakes in BC up there with Johnson Lake, Lillooet Lake, and others. The lake is a reservoir and is used to provide hydroelectric power in BC by BC Hydro. They’ve opened up a couple of…

The jewel of this backcountry area is probably the Spearhead Traverse which takes you on a U-shaped ski traverse from Blackcomb Mountain to Whistler Village (or the other way around) passing glaciers, summits, and passes along the way. It’s one of the…

When it comes to how to get to Tofino from Vancouver, you’ve plenty of options. My favorite is to plan a road trip to Tofino.
