Best Restaurants in Yaletown
Looking for places to get dinner in Yaletown. All the below are great Yaletown dinner options! The majority have patio space and also do a happy hour (usually between 3-5 in Vancouver) where you can sip on cheaper drinks and enjoy reduced-price appetizers.
When it comes to Mexican restaurants in Yaletown this maybe isn’t the most authentic but Tacofino’s burritos and tacos are full of flavor, will fill you up, and are the best I’ve come across (and we eat a lot of burritos & tacos!).
Make sure to get one of their margaritas too and if you’re dining with friends, a plate of nachos to share always goes down well.

Robba da Matti Yaletown
If you’re looking for Italian restaurants in Yaletown, I’d recommend Robba da Matti.
Robba da Matti serves up some great pasta dishes in this bright and lively dining space. I recommend going for the date night menu option where you get 2 antipasti, 2 pasta, 2 desserts, and a bottle of wine!

Moltaqa Moroccan Restaurant Mainland Street
There aren’t many Moroccan restaurants in Vancouver but amongst the ones that do exist, Moltaqa Moroccan Restaurant is one of the best.
The inside is beautifully decorated and you’ll find all the classic Moroccan dishes including mint tea and tagines.

per se Social Corner
We came here a few times for lunch when Thom was working downtown and I had a break in between dog walks. Everything we ordered at per se Social Corner was delicious and filling and the restaurant itself has a beautiful interior as well as a nice patio area.

Homer Street Cafe and Bar
Famous for its rotisserie chicken, Home Street Cafe and Bar is something of a Vancouver institution. It sits on the edge of Yaletown in a beautiful brick building with a lovely interior.
Get the chicken and some sides to share with friends.

Looking for Greek food in Yaletown and a fun night out? Hit up The Greek by Anatoli Yaletown. This Yaletown restaurant has a huge patio area and serves delicious cocktails, Greek larger, and tasty food. The halloumi Caprese is one of the most desired menu items!

El Guapo is a relatively new Mexican restaurant in Yaletown. As with many Yaletown restaurants, it has a beautiful interior and is a great spot for drinks as well as tacos.

One of Vancouver’s best steakhouses, Elisa Steakhouse in Yaletown is ideal for a special dinner with family.
There’s an elegance to the dining room here and the service is renowned. Choose your choice of steak and, if you’ve any room, be sure to get their chocolate cake of cinnamon sugar doughnuts for dessert!

Nuba is another local chain restaurant with a Yaletown location. Nuba serves middle eastern cuisines and their sharing plates are great for dinner out with friends.
You can opt for a veggie one or one with meat. If you or your friends are vegetarian this is a great option for vegetarian restaurants in Yaletown!

Hundy has been around in Vancouver for a while serving delicious burgers (and honestly that’s kinda hard to find in Vancouver).
Their Yaletown location is newer and hopefully, they’ll be there for a while.
With a cool aesthetic and the tastiest burger and fries around, it’s a great spot when you’re just craving some fast food that actually tastes good too.

Brix + Mortar
Brix and Mortar are a Canadian restaurant that’s hidden away in a beautiful heritage building with a gorgeous private patio area.
They’re well known for their wild salmon, their duck, and their desserts too. There’s an extensive wine list as well as some unique and delicious cocktails to try.
If you’re celebrating a birthday or special occasion you should head to this Yaletown restaurant.

Cioppino’s in Yaletown serves delicious Italian food and is known for its extensive wine list with over 1000 bottles! Luckily the staff are knowledgeable and can advise you on which one to get.
The restaurant has an open kitchen so you can see the chefs at work, as well as several private dining rooms for small parties and get together.

Flying Pig Yaletown
The Flying Pig is ideal for Canadian comfort food whether you’re stopping here just for happy hour or for dinner.
On the menu, you can find pasta, seafood and steaks and there’s a great patio to enjoy your meal on too.

One of the most well-known restaurants in Yaletown is Blue Water Cafe. If you’re looking for west-coast seafood then this is the place to go.
This award-winning Yaletown restaurant serves seafood platters, all types of fish, lobster and sashimi, and nigiri too. Enjoy your meal on the beautiful patio, or book a private dining room in advance.

MeeT is a vegetarian and vegan restaurant that does delicious comfort food. You can find burgers, brunches, breakfasts, and more on the menu. This Yaletown food spot is all meat-free and totally delicious!
Going here after a walk on the seawall or a spin class makes for a dreamy weekend morning!

For Yaletown sushi restaurants, head to Minami. Minami is a sister restaurant of the popular Miku Restaurant on the waterfront and serves up high-quality sushi and Japanese fusion dishes that’ll keep you satisfied.
A few of the must-get dishes include the sablefish and the Kaisen Soba Peperoncino! Sure, you can find cheaper sushi in Vancouver, but this is something different and worth the extra cost.

Yaletown Brewing Company was established in 1994. They serve both food and beer along with a selection of gluten-free brews and seasonal flavours.
There’s also a large outdoor patio at this brewery in Yaletown which is a great place to sit while you enjoy your drink.

Bartholomew Bar Yaletown
Cocktail, charcuterie, and wine fans need to go to Bartholomew Bar in Yaletown!

I’ve grouped desserts with coffee and brunch since many of the coffee places also do pastries and sweet treats that make a great dessert on the go!
Angus T (which I could’ve sworn was called Auguste) makes delicious pastries. You can watch them being made in the back while you get your order too.
The pain au chocolat and double-baked almond buns are a must-try! It’s one of the best places in Vancouver for a croissant.

Small Victory Bakery is one of the most well-known bakeries in Vancouver thanks to its delicious pastries and desserts. They do great coffee, pies, sandwiches, danishes, and more. It’s ideal for a quick breakfast, lunch in Yaletown, or dessert.

OEB is on the seawall in Yaletown and is one of the most popular spots to get breakfast in Yaletown. Not only will you get delicious breakfast food, but you’ll get to sit out on the patio in summer and enjoy people-watching on the seawall with a view!

The avo crunch bowl is my favorite and their Yaletown location is ideal if you’re in the neighborhood and want something healthy but filling.

The Juice Truck specializes in juice and shakes made from fresh ingredients and extra add-ins to help you feel your best. For lunches, they have salads and healthier sweet treats such as fudge, an almond butter cup, and power balls.

My favorite from this list of the best restaurants Yaletown has is definitely Tacofino (I’m a sucker for Mexican food). But, if you’re looking for something a bit fancier, be sure to check out Brix and Mortar or Homer Street Cafe to enjoy a delicious rotisserie chicken.
